We Ride Too.
Custom Chrome USA — For the riders, by the riders. Since 1970.
If you've ever spent an evening in the garage staring at a box of parts wondering if you bought the right thing, you know what this is about. Owning a Harley isn't just about the bike. It's about the build, the trip, the weekend ride, the way it sounds when you fire it up. It's personal. And finding the parts that actually fit, actually look right, and actually hold up on the road — that shouldn't be the hardest part.
We started Custom Chrome because we were those riders too. Five decades later, we're still a small team of people who care about motorcycles. We're not a giant corporation. We're not perfect. But we're honest about what we do, we care about getting it right, and we're still learning.
What Riders Deal With
If you've bought parts online before, you've probably run into some of these:
Will it actually fit?
One listing says "fits most Touring." Another says "2014-up." A third has a fitment table you can't make sense of. You click buy and hope for the best. If it doesn't fit, you're figuring out returns on your own.
The support that doesn't know the product
You email support with a question about fitment. You get a form reply three days later. The person on the other end has never seen the part, never touched a bike, and is just going through a script.
Cheap parts that don't last
You find a deal. The part shows up, the chrome is thin, the bolts don't line up, and six months later it's rattling on the highway. You saved some money and lost a weekend.
Returns that go nowhere
Something's wrong. You email. You wait. You find out returns are only store credit. Or you find out there's no real return process at all. You're stuck.
Waiting forever for a simple part
Your weekend ride is Friday. It's Wednesday. The part you need is "in stock" at a warehouse across the country. You won't see it until Monday. The ride just didn't happen.
Feeling like a ticket number
You're not just an order to us. You're the person who's about to spend Saturday on the highway. That matters to us — it should matter to whoever you're buying from.
"We're not here to be the biggest. We're here to be the people you can email when something doesn't look right, and get a real answer — even if the answer is, 'we need to check on that.'"
Our Story
What We're Trying to Do
We're not here to tell you how great we are. We're here to tell you what we're working on, and where we're trying to go.
Make fitment less confusing.
We know fitment is the hardest part. We have a fitment finder on category pages. We're still improving it. When something is unclear, we'd rather you email us your year, make, and model than guess. We'll check. If we're not sure, we'll tell you we're not sure — and we'll find out.
Be honest about what we sell.
Not every part is for every rider. If you're asking about a seat and we think a different option might work better for your ride, we'll say so. We'd rather you leave with the right part than the most expensive one.
Make support human.
We're a small team. We answer emails. Sometimes it takes a day. When you write to us, you're talking to a real person who knows the product and knows bikes. We're not going to send you a bot reply. We'll answer what we know, and we'll look up what we don't.
Price it fairly.
We design direct and sell direct. No distributor markup, no "dealer only" pricing games. What you see is what you pay. We're trying to keep prices reasonable without cutting corners on quality.
Keep learning.
We've been doing this for 50 years, but we're still learning. Every email you send us helps us get better. Every return, every question, every "this didn't fit" — that's how we improve. We don't pretend we have it all figured out. We're working on it.
Our Brands
For over half a century, we've been an independent supplier of aftermarket parts and accessories for Harley-Davidson motorcycles. We design and distribute what we call the "World's Finest Products for Harley-Davidsons" — under six house brands, each built to solve a specific rider problem.
What Riders Have Said
We don't need to tell you everything. Other riders have said it already:
- "Our CCI ape hanger handlebars are basically best friends now. The fit was good — the kind of aftermarket part that gave my ride the personality I wanted." — rider review
- "Custom Chrome CCI wheels are featured in buyer's guides for best 23-inch and 30-inch rims for Harley touring bikes — known for precise CNC machining and quality construction."
- "Quality product. Liked it." — long-time CCI customers on Harley Davidson Forums
